Forsa Survey Results

We conducted a survey of 1,000 people in Germany aged 60+ to understand their perceptions and opinions on COVID vaccination decision-making, motivations for getting vaccinated and education gaps. This survey was done in partnership with Forsa (a leading market research institute in Germany). Key findings included:


of respondents believe that vaccination remains an important means of protection against COVID-19

70% said that COVID-19 vaccines have significant added value for society and enable "normality" in everyday life


said the primary motivation for seeking a COVID-19 vaccine is to lessen the severity of COVID-19, should someone contract the disease, followed by the importance of helping to protect high-risk populations (59%).

Over 50% including those 60+ stated that it is more important to them to protect other family members (e.g. my parents/children) with a COVID-19 vaccination than themselves

More than 8 in 10 respondents felt that vaccination was particularly important for older adults and people with weakened immune systems
